The Croissant Handbag

In the spirit of food-meets-fashion, We worked with LIDL to create a leather handbag inspired by LIDL's famed All Butter Croissant. The bag comes with two interchangeable straps, a leather croissant coin purse (with a trolley coin holder!), and a special edition Nik Bentel Studio authentication card.

Making The Croissant Handbag

LIDL approached the studio in 2023 with an idea to celebrate their beloved butter croissant by immortalizing it as a handbag. So of course we jumped at the challenge and got to work 🥐

After many iterations, we landed on a winner. A soft leather rolltop bag, designed with an acrylic window to emulate the brown LIDL bakery bags. Complete with a little croissant coin purse on display in the window.

Our favorite detail– the golden trolley coin!
