For Hennessy’s limited edition collaboration with NBA legend LeBron James, Wieden + Kennedy asked us to take on one of our biggest design challenges:
Can we create a court-ready basketball with a cocktail shaker inside?
The ShakerBall
The star of the kit is The ShakerBall. An unprecedented construction and object– structurally sound enough to withstand intense dribbling, spinning, and passing, all while shaking up a Hennessy Henny-Rita cocktail.
The Cocktail Kit
The kit includes everything you need to create Henny-Ritas for two: two handmade coupe glasses, a stirring spoon, jigger, and recipe card. All gold to match the gold inner shaker and gold accents on the ShakerBall.

Making The ShakerBall
Creating the Shakerball was a true design challenge. How can we create, essentially, a "box" out of a ball filled with air? And construct it in a way that it can still bounce like a basketball? We started with a mold, which led to more molds, a few PLA prints, and finally a rubber cast to fill each side of the ball bladder.
